Looking for stuff to check out?

Dundas and Hamilton offer a wide range of great ways to spend your day - and night! We are home to a robust arts scene, featuring galleries and events, a diverse selection of restaurants--including several local craft breweries--and plenty of heritage buildings and historic sites. Find out why our motto is "together aspire, together achieve!"

Explore nature...

Dundas and its surrounding areas are filled with endless parks, hiking trails, and beautiful recreation areas. In fact, our Airbnb space backs directly onto the Dundas Valley Conservation Authority. The city of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada is often dubbed the City of Waterfalls due to being home to more than 100 waterfalls and cascades, most of which are on or near the Bruce Trail (they even have specific Waterfall Walks) as it winds through the Niagara Escarpment. We aren't dubbed the waterfall capital of Ontario (the World?) for nothing!

Local attractions...

The Hamilton area is home to many types of historic attractions, ranging from Dundurn Castle, pictured here, to the Royal Botanical Gardens to the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. We can also provide information about the Dundas Heritage Association walking tours of and heritage buildings here in town!

Food and drink...

Both here in Dundas and in Hamilton, the options for a great meal or selection of drinks continue to grow. Ranging from a growing craft beer scene, as evidenced by several new breweries (Merit and Fairweather are just a couple of examples!), to gourmet meals in acclaimed restaurants such as Quatrefoil or Brux House , there is something for everyone.

If you want to stay as close to your temporary home at our Airbnb then simply heading to downtown Dundas to dine might be your preference. If you don't mind a short drive then there are some other options for dining out in Hamilton.

The arts scene...

Hamilton features an exciting array of ways to experience art, from the smaller galleries along James Street North, home to the popular Art Crawl every second Friday of the month, to the Art Gallery of Hamilton, a century-old venue showcasing works in a wide range of mediums. Music is also a rich part of the arts scene here - concert and live music venues in Hamilton date back to the founding of the 1,100 capacity Grand Opera House in the 1880's! Today's music is found in a diverse range of places, such as Stonewalls and This Ain't Hollywood.

Word on the Street

Hamiltonians have their say...

If I have to travel, I'm going to travel my way and travel in the real world. And I'm going to have conversations every day with people in rest stops and people in gas stations and people in hotels and diners. That nourishes me.
